About the Artist: David Otterson (Woodturner)

A retired Electrical, Control & Instrumentation Engineer/Project Manager, David spends much of his free time in the production of high quality turned wood items. Using a variety of mostly locally sourced timber, all stages of production including the drying of the wood are carried out in his Billingham garage/workshop. Good tooling techniques followed by a multi-stage finishing process ensure that the finished article is both attractive and durable.

David uses the natural features of the wood, including faults and often bark inclusions to add interest and decorative effects to his bowls, vases, boxes, clocks, table lamps and much more besides.

A wide variety of products are on display at the Gallery, providing a wealth of gift ideas.
